Ambitious, resilient, and compassionate, Rochelle Hunter Mosley has worked diligently her entire life to become the successful businesswoman she is today. Rochelle is the proud owner of Salon 804 in Harlem, New York City. Just a girl from the hood, Rochelle grew up in the Blackwell public housing project community in Richmond, Virginia. Sheremembers her home life as being dysfunctional with not many positive adult role models.
By the age of 17, after having attended Richmond Technical Center, Rochelle became a licensed cosmetologist.
In just two short years, Rochelle was a bona fide stylist with a client base of 60 clients a week! Taking a break from cosmetology, Rochelle went on to pursue show business in Las Vegas. While there, she received a call to come to New York City to model. In 1992, she began her career in modeling. She has since received a Tricology diploma and has written several books. Her first book is How To Do Your Hair At Home and Life After Beauty School.
Not bad for a teenager from the Blackwell Projects.
